Oh! Hi there! Thanks for coming out and I'm glad you had a great time. There will be much more to come!

Steve says to say that he was referring to GameBoy sales- according to Wiki (and yes Wiki may be incorrect sometimes or most of the time) Tetris sold in the neighborhood of 35 million copies. VG charts lists it at 30.26, which is slightly below Pokemon Red/Blue. Super Mario Land was right behind the two franchises, though, with 18.14, accurately behind the other Pokemon games. The original source for the 35 million was an article from Nintendo Europe talking about how you can purchase a game for Nintendo DS that sold over 35 million copies worldwide on the Nintendo Game Boy. It's up for debate, at any rate, as many of these figures are embellished and we all know how tight lipped these companies can be! (I'm looking at you, Sega). We appreciate the fact check, though. Rock on!

At any rate, check us out here or on Facebook! Another show is on the way so stay tuned. And it will be great! Promise!

Hi there,

I caught the Heroes show tonight and it was really great. You guys are doing great work and continuing the trend toward games (and their components, such as music) being recognized as the epic artform they are. I especially liked Doug(?)'s self-composed piece; intelligent and wandering and complex, it challenged my ear. I definitely liked Link to the Past suite in the second half, and everything else was really well done also.

Like a true nerd, i wanted to offer some feedback about a piece of trivia during the show. You may have been saying something different, or I may likely have misunderstood, but I thought you said Tetris is the best selling game ever. According to VGchartz, that would be a misstatement--Wii Sports owns that pedigree, with Tetris coming in at 5th: http://www.vgchartz.com/gamedb/

However, you were right about PS2 (console most sales) though I feel like that data must have been updated relatively recently; I swear i looked at it within the last 2? months and DS was still listed at the top.

Thanks for the great show!
